So, I have not been happy with Supernatural much this season.  I stopped watching about ten episodes ago, and just let the eps build on my Tivo.  I was so. damn. tired. of the everybody-hates-Sam show, of Dean's numb depression, of the same monologues and dialogues every episode.

And then yesterday, I caught up for the finale.  And things got better.  And then they got a LOT better. It's about damn time Bobby and Dean acknowledged how hard they are on Sam, and that he's "got a lot of good in him, too".  Suddenly, it's like I'm watching my old show again, where the boys are working together and their relationship is what binds everything together in the face of everything they fight.

The Death episode was pretty freaking awesome.  LOVED Death.

And then, I watched the finale.  asjkjkfhjeshgflshglkshgwhgwgk! )

Finally, we get some Sam-centric stuff! Actually, I think this was my favorite ep this season since 4x3 In the Beginning, also a kind of flashback episode. After School Special )

I have a feeling this could get lengthy... )

[livejournal.com profile] kistha, I know, I know - this show has messed with your religion and gotten it wrong so often, it's about time it messed with/up mine, too, I suppose. I'm trying to grit my teeth and remind myself it's just a TV show.

Thank you so much to everyone who's pimped the Rainbow Drive! I'm hoping to break $100 today, but we'll see. We're already up to $65 $78!

For sanity's sake, I have started a spreadsheet of orders. This way I have the details of what each person wants in one easy-to-find location ~ earrings, pendant, chain or no chain, what drops on each pendant...) It's also color coded for who has paid, has payment pending, and how they're paying.

For me, it's ridiculously organized. :-)

Um, in fandom things, SPN rocked last night, as usual. spoilers )

CSI - Lady Heather was awesome as always. But spoilers )

On the gratuitous jewelry post front, I have new earrings I'm listing today. Not in any way affiliated with the Rainbow Drive, just to clarify. They're just...earrings going up in the shop:

Things I am happy about:

~ Today is payday as well as being Friday! Whoo-hoo!

~ The Marie gown moves forward, but I still felt it was missing something. Gowns from that time tend to be extravagant with an emphasis on "extra". My trim just wasn't working for me all that fantastically. So this morning, I ordered some of this:

and these:

Now, I know sequins aren't exactly period. Nor is bullion embroidery and beading of this kind. But if it had been available, the fashionistas of the time totally would've used it! I got my inspiration for this after seeing the hella amazing costumes in Phantom - which were absolutely full of non-period sequins and the like. This is my rationale for putting this totally non-period trim on my dress, when really, I don't need a rationale. I'm not a purist anyway. I just want the look, and I want my dress to be fabulous, and gorgeous silver trim is way harder to find than gorgeous gold, for some reason.

~ SPN last night was more awesome than I can even say! Within the first ten minutes I was pausing it so I could gasp in delight and clap my hands - no, really. I was so not expecting (spoilers) )

~ Oh, yes. And yesterday saw a partial request for Nemesis from one of the agents I queried. This means the first thirty pages get sent in. The really amazing part is it came from one of the agents I assume will be rejections - one of the well established agents with a pretty full client list. I actually gasped in shock when I opened the e-mail, because I was so certain it would be a form rejection. I guess my query works. :)

First, this is going to be an awesome season! I love how Sam, the one cut for spoilers )
I continue to love the show this season. It's my most anticipated show each week, so far.

I didn't think it was possible to love this show even more than I already do, but then they go and spoilers )

I guess this was even less coherent than last night's post. But I can't help it. This was the best season opener they've had yet. Just...AWESOME.

A more coherent post on the morrow, but spoiler )
Oh, and WTH was that opening song??  Cool song and all, but not Carry On!  It's always supposed to be Carry On.

That was, to be clear, the only disappointing thing in the entire hour.  Is it next Thursday yet??

This is Supernatural week, hence that "quote from the show when you see this on your f-list" meme that's going around.

Some favorite moments, S3 edition: )

First of all, I NEED the version of Carry On they use on every season finale - I think it's the Kansas version - someone has to have it, right??

~ I was not surprised by the ending of this finale. In fact, other than having to wait until Fall, I'm feeling pretty satisfied, because really cut for spoilers )
Um. And that's all I have, really. Except I MUST HAVE THAT SONG. This show kills me, and I cannot wait for the S3 DVDs to be released now.
