Whew!
Our cybersecurity at work somehow decided yuletide sign-ups were a "questionable site" and blocked them...sort of. They didn't block the main page, but they blocked when I tried to open up the list of fandoms already requested, and again when I tried to submit my sign-up, after over an hour of working on it. I didn't think it went through, but then I just got an e-mail confirming that it did, thank goodness. :)
I haven't done yuetide in...huh. I don't know that I've EVER done it. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to sign up this year, so I have. :D

Date: 2008-11-03 09:33 pm (UTC)You sign up and request three different fandoms, and then offer as many fandoms on the list as you're willing to write, and when sign ups close, each participant gets one request they write for, that has to be one of the fandoms they agreed to write in. There's a dealine before Christmas by which you have to write the fic and then the recipients receive them anonymously. I believe after all is said and done, actual authors are revealed.
Literally hundreds of people participate every year.
