Update

So, I haven't been around for a few days. Do you remember last month, when I kept saying things in my LJ like "This better not happen in November, or NaNo will be screwed,"?

Well, yes. That's exactly what happens when you catch your husband's very nasty cold, and still have to go to school and work and somehow try to continue working on NaNo. I feel human again for the first time today, since, oh...Friday night? Yes, because I was sick just in time for the weekend. And I still had papers to write for school, which I did. I even attempted to write for NaNo, but that didn't last long. Doing what I absolutely had to get done drained me of what little energy I had. Today I'm still congested, and my nose is still sore, but I'm otherwise better. Of course, this weekend we have out-of-town guest flying in on Friday and staying until Monday. Think I'll be able to sneak in some NaNo time? I'm going tom try.

So, yeah, after falling at least a week behind, I am not giving up. I may not make the 50k words for NaNo, but I'll just keep on writing into December. See, I'm going to keep right on writing until the book is done. Finished. November, December, January...however long it takes.

In other news, while convalescing in bed, I watched an inordinate amount of episodes of CSI on Spike TV.

Is it just me, or can Sarah be a real b---- sometimes? I mean, the tone she uses when addressing not just her co-workers, but her boss, Grissom(sp?), makes me want to reach out and slap her half the time. Am I alone in this?

And wow, this show can be really gruesome. Or maybe my constitution was just weak from illness?
