What do you all think?

So. *cough*

Say someone (me, maybe) was thinking about experimenting with podcasting. Say this person has even gone so far as to get a fairly decent start up package of gear.

What would you actually be tempted to listen to me talk about? Writing? Fanfic? Fandom? Jewelry? (Although I'm not sure how I'd actually talk about that.) What questions would you ask me?

I have a couple of reasons for experimenting thusly.

1. I find podcasts in general fascinating and oddly warm and fuzzy to listen to. And there aren't enough of them that talk about the things I am interested in. And I feel like none of the writing ones ever address fandom or fanfic. Ever.

2. I am working my way up to possibly podcasting Dark Vision and/or some short stories. I am really, really uncomfortable reading my own stuff to people. I NEED to get over that. I want to be the sort of author that gives good and interesting readings, not lame and uncomfortable and boring ones. Recording myself reading will help me become a better reader (and probably a better writer), and if no one ever wants to publish DV, podcasting may be a good way for me to get it out there anyway. We'll see. That's down the road, maybe.

Anyway. I've been thinking about it and drawn to the idea for some months, now. It didn't go away as much as I tried to make it. I bought a decent starter setup. I cleaned up my computer desk to clear a space to set up as a home recording studio. I have experimented, and to my shock, I don't utterly hate the sound of my own voice. (Seriously. I used to.)

So.

What would you think was interesting to talk about? Topic ideas? Questions you'd ask, or want answered? Thoughts? If I'm going to get serious about this, I need to decide what I want my podcast to focus on. And I'd probably need some starter topics for the first few episodes, or something.

(If you knew me RL, you'd know how completely OOC this is for me. I don't do recordings, or pictures, or anything.)
