Important Fandom Question!
There have to be some other people who watch CSI: NY on my f-list, right?
So, did that kiss look like they've had a little somethin' going on for awhile ("Hey, babe, thanks for being there when I called, even though I told you I'm walking this off now.") or like a first step beyond flirting ("Hell with it! I'm kissing her!")? After CSI's Grissom/Sara off screen thing, who the hell knows??
I am torn. I kinda hope it was a "first kiss", and we'll see the relationship progress in coming eps. I admit it, I love the flirtation Angell and Flack have had going on since last season. Flack admiring her in her bulletproof vest, Angell calling him on "busting out his game" on her during a stakeout. I mean, come on, CSI:NY is not the show that CSI is. It is also, thank God, nowhere near as pretentious and awful as CSI:Miami, but still, I need those little character 'ships to keep me engaged!
I am apparently in the fandom minority in that I've enjoyed Danny/Lindsay. I'm sure, without even looking, that people are equally pissed now about Don/Jess. Selfishly, I really hope the show's execs don't listen to the naysayers! I love the idea of Don Flack and Jess Angell more than I ever did Danny and Lindsay. I have secretly been shipping them since they first intro'd Angell's character. They are both so intrinsically....NY cop, I guess. And what can I say? I watch a lot of shows, and at heart, I'm a shipper kinda fangirl. Usually I don't bother shipping on police procedurals, but CSI:NY is the exception. Possibly because the procedural part is less engaging than it ought to be.
And thank you God, my headache has broken! Seriously, that's what it feels like, this internal *snap* as the pain finally breaks, like all the tension going out of a line. Thank goodness.
Also, for the next few days, my Bond icons will be in rotation, because even though I haven't actually talked about it much OMGNEWDANIELCRAIGBOND this weekend! Remember how I linked the trailer for the first movie, and talked about it obsessively for like two weeks (or more?) Yeah, I am actually just as excited about Quantum of Solace. I had that epiphany last time, if you'll remember, about how my mother is actually to blame for my spy problem. (It's all because of her fondness for Bond!) Well, I recently discovered my sister is similarly fangirly about Bond, and particularly Daniel Craig (there was talk of bibs and drool), and she, too, blames our mother. And Sean Connery.
But mostly Mom.
Anyway. Blue eyed, badass spies are totally a weakness. Rhien!Sis and I will be calling each other this weekend after we've seen the new movie, and I expect much incoherent squeeing and silent moments of appreciation to abound.

I also didn't mind Danny/Lindsay (I love the ep where he goes to Montana when she's testifying), and I don't mind Flack/Angell, although my twisted little 'shipper heart prefers Flack/Stella. On the other hand, to this day I find Grissom/Sara absolutely vomit-worthy, so...whatever.
And although CSI: NY may not be as good as the original recipe was at its peak, when comparing the current episodes, I'd rather watch NY than Vegas. This may or may not be because the NY eye candy is better (particularly since Warrick is gone). Plus, I will always believe that Gary Sinise > William Peterson.
