Somebody tell me this show has already been picked up for next season. Because if not? SO. PISSED. They ended on a cliffhanger, one which I can see no way for Elle to survive. A cliffhanger that they better be fixing in S2!

Seriously, killing off a character at the end of S1? Not the greatest idea ever! This team is already testosterone heavy. And JJ and Garcia are fringe members with very specific duties. Elle is the only female field agent they have.

Ok, that's my emotional response. That's not to say the finale wasn't good, because it so was. This show's S1 was as solid as many show's S2's. It makes me very, very excited to see what they'll do next season. But I'm going to be so sad if Elle isn't there for it!

~ Hey, what is Morgan doing checking out bimbos in the Bahamas? We all know he and Garcia belong together! Come on, can't the full figured babe get the hot guy for once? I mean, they're constantly flirting.

~ Ha, I loved Garcia's video game, even if it was a stupid thing to do, hooking into the FBI's wireless network so she can play a video game on her laptop at work. Come on, she's their tech Goddess, she knows better. (And even though she said she knows better, guilt after the fact doesn't explain why her character would have done it in the first place.) I did love her reaction to the hack, though, and her determination to find the guy responsible.

~ Poor Jason. You wonder, when you watch this show, how these guys don't crack under the pressure. They never take time off, they're always dealing with the worst man has to offer, day in and day out, and then they take their one vacation probably all year, and end up set up and stalked by a killer. AND this is all after he lost his last team to a killer at the beginning of the season...he's definitely cracking at the really wrong time.

~ Ok, why would they send Elle home when they know this guy has all their personal info?? What, she can't sleep at the office, where she's safe? And then she gets home, and immediately I'm like "That window behind her is open! It shouldn't be open - she was just gone on vacation!" And she doesn't notice, of course, because she's gone 36 or 39 hours without sleep. WHY DID THEY SEND HER HOME!? Sheesh!

That's it for the spoilery part. But you know, not many people on my f-list watch this show, when they should. Here are some memorable quotes, so you can see just how much you're missing:

Agent Hotch: "Well, I wouldn't have kept kicking you, I was afraid you didn't get my plan."
Dr. Spencer Reid: "I got your plan the minute you moved the hostages out of my line of fire."
Agent Hotch: "Well, I hope I didn't hurt you too badly."
Dr. Spencer Reid: "Hotch, I was a twelve-year-old child prodigy in a Las Vegas public high school. You kick like a nine-year-old girl."
---------------------------
Agent Morgan: "So tell me, what does keep young Dr. Reid awake at night? Wait, let me guess. Memorizing some obscure textbook? No, no, no. Working on cold fusion? No, I got it, I got it, I got it. Watching Star Trek and laughing at all the physics mistakes?"
Dr. Spencer Reid: "Actually, there aren't that many scientific errors in Star Trek, especially considering how long ago it was made. There are certain improbabilities, but not that many outright errors."
Agent Morgan: "Right."
---------------------------
Garcia: [answering call] "Oracle of Quantico - speak if you deign to hear truth!"
---------------------------
Garcia: [answering call] "Office of Unfettered Omniscience - how may I help you, O fortunate one?"
---------------------------
(One of my favorite scenes. To get this you need to understand that Hotch is always in a suit, a kind of serious, straightlaced, team-leader type guy. His brother showed up with a motorcycle helmet in hand, in jeans and a T-shirt. And oh yeah, he's really damn hot. :) This is all the women gathered around:

Garcia: [Aaron's brother Sean emerges angrily from Aaron's office. Garcia, Elle, and J.J. are watching.] "That's him."
Elle Greenway: "THAT'S Aaron Hotch's brother?"
JJ: "Sorry, I just don't see it."
Aaron Hotch: [Aaron appears at the door of his office.] "Sean, all I'm saying is, you're 25 years old. It's normal for people in your position to seek alternatives..."
Sean Hotch: [Swings around, furious] "You know what? DON'T profile me Aaron!!" [Sean swings back around and storms away.]
JJ: Now I can see it...
--------------------------
Garcia: "You've got a problem. Deadbolt's the number one password crack-resistant software out there. You're gonna have to get inside this guy's head to get the password."
Agent Morgan: "I thought I was calling the office of Supreme Genius."
Garcia: "Well, gorgeous, you've been re-routed to the office of Too Frickin' Bad."

So. I knew it was going to Brass the second he was with the SWAT team. No one else was with the SWAT team going after the guy with the gun, thus, Brass would be the one to get the bullet.

Are they really killing him, does anyone know?

I wonder if Warrick's wife is really planning a surprise party, or if she just came up with that to save her butt? Either way, neither one of them reacted like a happily married couple who trust each other. So maybe they'll get divorced, thus paving the way for Catherine/Warrick next season? Hmmm.

Not much else to say. It was a good episode, better than 80% of the rest of the season. I look forward to part 2 next week.

Ok, my Tivo cut off the last bit to switch and record CSI. Did anything happen after Lex (excuse me, General Zod) and Lana kiss? Which props to MR - I could actually see Zod thinking behind the stoic mask when Lana was delivering her speech. Weighing the pros and cons: "Kill her, or keep her? Kill her, or...ah, what the hell, maybe she'll be useful..or at least give me some good sex after my long confinement." I mean, how different are Kryptonians, really?

I am completely stymied as to what is going to save everyone next season. Chloe and Luthor being dragged down by the mob, Lois and Martha passed out on a plane being piloted by the evil spaceship, and Clark trapped in Zod's old prison...

Hmm. Quite the cliffhanger. Actually, I've enjoyed Smallville more this season than almost ever. At least, since Lana and Clark broke up. :)

I want to watch Criminal Minds, but I suck at remember TV. I'm hesitantly thinking of getting the great evil of TIVO.

Mostly I wait for most shows to come out on DVD...some days it's hard to wait though.

I'm glad it's not Grissom. Why couldn't they kill of Catherine? She's become such a bitch the last two seasons. I wouldn't miss her at all. I like Brass, and I'm afraid they are really going to kill him. But have not proof of that.

Hopefully he'll make it. I like Brass a great deal.

I didn't know you liked CSI - do you remember the episode where 'Sark' is a lab tech? I so wanted you to write a fic piece about it...but I didn't think you watched CSI.

I love Criminal Minds...unfortunately it's on the same time as House and then Veronica Mars as well when it moved to Tuesday nights! Now that Vmars is over perhaps I can catch it in reruns...I've seen the odd episode every now and then though.

I love Garcia...I felt so bad for her when she confessed her mistake! I agree with you on the whole Morgan and Garcia thing...the flirt like mad!

Sending Elle home was indeed very stupid...as soon as she got in I was all "The killer is in the house with her!"...I suppose they were all very distracted and tired though...
