So, I don't comment much on Supernatural (or many other TV shows, really - not like I used to) but holy cow, y'all!!!  I am so glad that was not the season finale, or I'd be a freaking wreck between now and then.  I can't believe that!  In fact, I don't believe it (as I'm sure none of you do, either.)  There is no way
they will kill off one of their two main characters, or we'd have heard about it before now.  Still, Dean holding Sam's seemingly dead body and crying brokenly and saying Sam's name over and over makes for great, angsty drama.  I suppose they had to top last season's finale, right?

So, while I'm at it, I suppose I should talk about some of my other shows:

Though I have not yet seen Tuesday's ep, this season is freaking killing me, as I knew it would.  Damn.  The actor who plays Shane?  Is a freaking genius.  Seriously, he is so. damn. good.  I was crying during that final scene last week, with him all beat to f***, sobbing and waving that gun around while begging Mara to forgive him.

"Please, please, you have to forgive me, you have to.  Please, Mara, forgive me and ask me back.  You have to."

Obviously, he was never asking her to forgive his transgression w/an 18-year-old.  He wanted forgiveness for killing Lem.  And not from Mara.  From Lem.  From himself.

Oh, Shane.  How did you think this would end?  You can't murder your best friend and just go on living with yourself!  And clearly, he had hit bottom there.  He was ready to kill himself, if Mara didn't offer him the forgiveness he couldn't give himself.  IMO, this was so, so, painfully true to what would really happen - Shane is messed up, but he's not a sociopath.  There was no way he could kill Lem, however he justified it to himself - "I did it for you, and for us, and for Jackson [our baby son].  Lem was going to turn on us, and I killed him to protect our family, only now it's all gone wrong...."  Yes, Shane, of course it's all wrong!  You can't kill someone without serious psychological consequences, especially not someone you really cared about, like Lem.

And yet, even as completely f-ed up as Shane is, the actor still made me feel so much for him that I cried, watching that scene.

And from the previews, it looks like this week Vic figures out it was Shane who killed Lem!  OMG, I don't know if I can take it.  That's going to be one ugly, emotional confrontation.  I can see Shane begging Vic to just kill him.  "Please, Vic, kill me.  Just don't ever let my son find out what I did."  Just like when he was begging Mara to forgive him "Jackson can never know what I've done."

This has to be the last season of The Shield, because it's all crumbling down around them.  I don't know where they'd be able to go from here, I really don't.

This show better win some damn Emmy's for this season.  Shane, in particular, should win something, because his performances lately have just been f-ing brilliant.

Um, it almost seems superfluous to talk about any other shows after The Shield, cause nothing else can come close to competing with that level of emotional drama and impact.  Seriously.  It's probably the best show you've never seen.
