Yesterday I commented that I was shopping for new glasses. Well, I went to my eye dodctor, and low and behold, I discovered that Oakley makes eye glass frames! I've always worn Oakley as my sunglasses of coice. The way they hug the face without curving around my ears is the ultimate in comfort to me, and I find they have a style for nearly everyone. The same seems to hold true for their eyeglass frames, which I tried on extensively yesterday.

My problem? I am torn between two designs, both of which look very good on me, in very different ways. Unfortunately, I have no pics of them actually on me, but I did find pics of them online. One has that half-frame look, while the other are the more usual full frames. My question is, which one would you vote for?

Hmm, and in real life, they absolutely do not look like granny glasses. Promise.

while i often like half frames, i think for that shape the full frames look better. i love the profile on them, and the full frame helps to emphasize the shape of the glasses.

True. That was part of my quandary. The half frames are more invisible, but have just a touch of style. The full frames emphasize the shape, which says something akin to "sexy librarian" on me. ;) But I've never had half frames, so I'd been kind of unconsciously looking for some this time around.

the half frames have style, but sometimes that bit of style takes away from the overall look of the glasses. it happens rarely enough, but i think this is one case in which it does happen.
in this case, i'd have to go with the full frame "sexy librarian" look--honestly, you can't go wrong with "sexy librarian."
and that's got major style.

My vote is for the full frames- I can definitely see what you mean by sexy librarian. :)

My vote is for the full frames. I don't know why, but half frame glasses always remind me of the elderly.

My vote's for the full frame as well, on that particular pair with its particular shape.

Generally I'm just reminded of how happy I am that glasses aren't all round and half the size of one's face anymore.

I like the full frame of the first one, but the second one looks so savy. I feel torn! If I were to pick one, I'd go with the first. More conservative, I 'spose.
