Two Years

Yep, so yesterday was our second wedding anniversary. Wow. It doesn't feel like two years at all. I used to always think that I'd get married, enjoy being married for a couple of years, and then have our first child. Hmm. So not ready for that yet. In another year, maybe...or two. I don't know. When I'm around babies, they're so precious and lovable that I can imagine having one. When I'm not...I think of all the scary stuff. Like going through labor and being responsible for this new person for the rest of your life...I mean, I'm thirty-one, and my Mom still tries to pay every time we go out to lunch. Mark's Mom still tries to bring our contribution for us whenever we go to BBQs or potlucks together, because Mark and I are still, after all, "kids" to her. No amount of talking will change her mind.

But enough about my internal wafflings on having kids. So what did we do for our anniversary? Went out and had fabulous prime rib for dinner. :) And had a lovely evening together, just the two of us. Which happens remarkably rarely in our too busy lives.

This weekend I'm having a BBQ with The Girls. Let us hope that sisterly (btw L and L2) politics don't make an appearance.

It's been two years? Goodness. Wow. Now there's something to celebrate. Give Mark my love, and take some for yourself. Have a wonderful anniversary. :)

Congratulations on your two year wedding anniversary. :D

And having the kids? Don't rush it. They'll happen when you're good and ready.

Happy anniversary!

Well, I'm older than you and my dear mother-in-law still sometimes brings homebaked cakes to our house. I always tell her there is no need, I'm a decent cook myself, but there is just no stopping her. Sadly you will always remain a child in your parents eyes, and your husband will forever be his mother's baby boy.;)
