It's one of my favorite pieces in the movie, and one of those where the music makes the scenes play out in my head. It starts with Aragorn resisting the temptation of the ring, and then he sees Sting's glow and knows the orcs are upon them, and he tells Frodo to leave, and then there's the slow-motion moment where he walks out to face the horde of advancing uruk-hai, and salutes them with his sword just before cutting the first one down. It's just awesome, and one of my all time favorite Aragorn moments.
Then it continues on to the death of Boromir, which just *sniff* chokes me up just to hear the music.
Boromir: “Forgive me. I did not see it. I have failed you all.”
Aragorn: “No, Boromir. You fought bravely. You have kept your honour.”
Boromir: “It is over. The world of Men will fall. And the whole world will come to darkness. My city to ruin.”
Aragorn: “I do not know what strength is in my blood. But I swear to you, I will not let the White City fall. Nor our people fail.”
Boromir: “Our people. Our people. I would have followed you. My brother. My captain. My king.”
