I feel so completely out of touch. This is my second post in...11 days, and I have no idea why. Maybe because there's been more snafu stuff at work with the remodel, so I haven't been able to check LJ as often during the day (don't get me started, seriously. Workplace politics suck.) And Mark is working more than 80 hours a week between teaching school, working on the house his Dad is building, and teaching martial arts, so I've been scrambling to try and do everything possible to make life easier for him (ie, keep the house clean, set up the mats for training, feed him at regular intervals, etc.) which has allowed me little time to sit at the computer.

I did watch BSG on Friday, and I knew that the cylon baby would somehow save Roslin's life! I had just had a whole conversation speculating exactly that with my Mom the night before. I loved what they did with Baltar this episode. It was like a quintessential Baltar episode. We got to see all the many sides of him - coward, genius, hero, villain.


And then I come back to LJ-land, and find out that the WB and UPN are merging or some such? What does this mean for our favorite shows? Or even the ones we only semi-watch (Smallville?) I'm trying to think of something on UPN I actually watch...not coming up with anything. Hmm.

Random:

~ When is Alias coming back? I swear, these mid-season breaks are longer than summer hiatus ever was. Prison Break, anyone?

~ NCIS is totally my new favorite show (other than BSG) that is currently airing. I love the characters so, so much. I need fic to read. Is there good NCIS fic out there somewhere? Has anyone on my f-list written some?

~ Saw Tristan and Isolde. *sigh* It wasn't bad. But I am so not 15 anymore. These two girls that couldn't have been older than 14, at most, walked out of the theater behind us, weeping. Yeah. It was good, but I'm not sure I'll be owning it.

~ Have been working on Starlight and Shadow again. It's going, not exactly smoothly, but it is going.

I'm not very hooked into NCIS fandom, but I have all my NCIS fic here, and I'm pretty sure there are links to a few fic communities, as well. *g*

I believe, because of Garner's pregnancy, we get no more Alias until something like March.

:( Damn. That's a long time. I understand, though. I'd want to spend some time with the baby as a new Mom, too. Why shouldn't actors get maternity leave?

Still, I'm going to have to re-watch the first nine episodes to refresh my memory before the new ones air.
