Wow, disappear for most of the weekend, and...

...everyone signs up for ficathons! Still battling with my story for the Rohirrim Ficathon, and so I'm not sure I'm going to sign up for the Sarkney Ficathon, even though I really probably should. It might kick start the sequel to EIC if I would.

Saw Hidalgo this weekend. Decent movie. Neat story. Not a blockbuster, though. I think the marketing machine got started when they realized LOTR was making Viggo A-list material. I recommend seeing it, but just go expecting an entertaining movie, not the-best-thing-since-LOTR.

My friend Paula came down from Portland this weekend and spent the night at our house (she'd never seen it or the puppy before). She brought her digital camera and took pics, which she is supposed to e-mail to me so I'll finally have some to post here. It was fun. Saturday we spent the day together up in her neck of the woods, and I had my hair highlighted by the incredibly talented Lisa, who does Paula's hair. At color she is a genius. At cut, not so much. Since I'd had my hair cut a couple of weeks back, I just had her do the color, which turned out fabulous. :)

Rach, it is all your fault I am now craving pizza for lunch. ;)

I really don't need any pizza, see. I've been so good lately. Dinner last night? Tossed salad. Lunch yesterday? Baby carrots with ranch dressing and half a tuna sandwich on whole wheat.

Then I read one entry about somebody wanting to order 50 pizzas, and I'm ready to blow all my good intentions away. :)

Round Robin Fic

While commenting and conversing on redrover1980's LJ today, the Sarkgasm Round Robin fics came to mind, and it hit me with this powerful sense of nostalgia.

trixalicious? Is there still one active at Sarkgasm? and if not, I'm voting that we should start a new one again, should anyone else prove interested.
