Mar. 6th, 2004 10:09 amThanks to
voleuse for posting the link to the new Troy trailer. After watching it, I have only two things to say.
1. Looks like a nice, big, epic Hollyowood movie, the kind I tend to enjoy. I love all the actors in it that I recognize. Should be fun.
2. Where the f--- is Odysseus??! Um, hello? Did the movie makers actually read Homer before writing this script? Or is it just that Brad Pitt is playing Achilles, so the trailers are all focusing on him? You know, Achilles may have fought the war for Agamemnon, but Odysseus was the strategist behind it all, the one who actually planned the Trojan Horse that wins. The one who convinced Achilles to come and fight in the first place.
Ok, I'm done ranting until I've seen the movie. I'm tempted to re-read The Iliad before I go, just so I'll know for certain what's what.
