Jun. 2nd, 2004 09:24 amDude, Karl Urban is in The Chronicles of Riddick. I had no idea. And now I have yet another reason to see this movie.
See, unlike so many of my friends, I wasn't all that into Pitch Black. It was...ok. Not great. Another mediocre SF film, which just happened to have then-newcomer Vin Diesel going for it. And I wasn't all that impressed with him, either. I mean, he's pretty to look at, but the only movie I've seen that has impressed me with his acting ability is A Man Apart. And now that I know he can act, I expect a little something more than eye candy from him. I'm hoping Riddick will be a great SF movie, instead of merely ok. And with both Judi Dench and Karl Urban in it, I'm now really looking forward to it!
Ugh. It's Dead Week, whatever that means. Dead Week is a myth, at least for English majors. Dead Week is all about finishing up the four different papers you have due, and any extra reading you might have fallen behind on. Dead week, for me, is more stressful than finals.
Fic is my only salvation, I'm telling you. Write a little escapism, then back to writing a little drudgery. I'm finishing my Will Turner fic (still), and I'm so excited about my assignement for the Heroine ficathon. Gah. When I read through all the requests a week or so ago, I thought "Gee, this would be a neat one to get." And what do you know? I got it!
Hmm, ok. I guess that was a random posting. Don't know if I'm going to make it to Harry Potter this weekend. I'm literally booked all weekend. My only hope is Friday night, and that's slim at best.
