NaNo, The Incredibles, SW Epsiode III
Nov. 6th, 2004 11:14 amI just wrote a NaNo update at
charityz.
Went and saw The Incredibles last night. First off, people are insane. We went to the new theater they've built in Corvallis, and the management there evidently has yet to figure out what "blockbuster" and "sell out" mean for organizational techniques. They didn't even have people form a line. I mean, we were there 40 minutes early, so we formed the beginning of a line along with the other early birds. Then people just started crowding up the entire lobby, no line, just a disorganized mob, and the theater let them. Until about five minutes before they seated us, at which time they finally asked everyone else to line up behind us. *rolls eyes*
Anyway, the movie was...well...incredible. Really, really good. Top Pixar stuff. I laughed a lot, ogled the amazing animation, laughed some more, enjoyed listening to the little kids laughing around me. At one point, I laughed so hard I cried. I'm telling you, incredible. And that's all I'm going to say so as not to spoil people.
Our showing had a trailer for Episode III attached. For the first time, I'm feeling a teensy tiny bit of hope. Maybe, just maybe, they'll get it right. It looks amazing in the preview. I just hope it lives up to it.
