I love the top three - not just a teacher, but a professor. If I were teaching, I would totally agree with that. And a critic? Tell me how to get that job, because I would looooooove reviewing books and/or movies and/or TV shows for my day job. Of course, it goes without saying that #3 is my dream job. It would have been more awesome if it had come up as #1, but I'm pleased it made the top three. :-D

After that, it gets greatly amusing. Who knew that being an activist was a career? I thought it was one of those things you bankrupted yourself to do because you're so passionate about whatever your cause is. "Translator" is a job I would find interesting...if I spoke any foreign languages. Political Aide? ME?? Are they serious? And Public Relations Specialist. Wow. Criminologist is interesting. I do find true crime fascinating, but I don't think I have the emotional endurance to immerse myself in it all the time. Anthropologist would be all kinds of awesome.

I'm not buying a new handbag this year, because I haven't found one I like better than last year's Kathy VanZeeland purchase. I am, however, buying a new pair of black boots. After much searching and being disappointed in fit/style or comfort, I finally settled on the old standby of a pair of Doc Martens - say what you will, Doc knows how to make a good quality, comfortable boot.

I'm being brave and trying one with a heel, even though I haven't found a decently comfortable pair of heeled boots to wear in years. If anyone can do it, Doc can, right? They're also calf height, which i though would be fun. I'm hoping my jeans will still fit over them if I want to wear them as a winter "everyday" boot. If not...well, perhaps a second pair of Docs will be on the horizon.

Here's a pic:
