Happy Yuletide!
Dec. 25th, 2008 06:42 pm*savors all the stories*
I love that people are already posting their yuletide recs! I myself have barely had time today to read my own, which was fabulous, and managed to cover pretty much every single facet of my rather open ended request:
Should Auld Aquaintance Be Forgot - Kelley Armstrong - Women of the Otherworld
A lovely, UST filled glimpse of Savannah/Adam in the future - and I didn't even ask for anything shippery! It makes me wonder if my author knows me, as I make no secret of my fandom ship tendencies. :D
Seriously, I loved it. Thank you, whoever you are. I forgot to add it in my gushing comments, but I also appreciated the appropriateness of the title - it fit the story, and yet also fit the Christmas theme of yuletide.
Also, my yuletide recipient seems genuinely pleased with their story, so I am happy. :o)
ETA: Christmas has been fun, but exhausting. There are times when I wish my husband's family partook of alcohol, like, ever, because I could sure go for a glass or two of wine to cap the day. Perhaps when I get home. The guys are out in the garage right now, smoking cigars and sipping fifteen year old scotch - the only alcohol in the house, and reserved for these uber-special occasions. I could go out and get some scotch, but a) I don't really like it, and b) my hair and clothes would then be cigar scented, pretty much permanently. If I wasn't dressed up for the holiday, I'd do it anyway.
Also, personal message to
kistha - I was having rather a bad moment yesterday when I called you, and just that brief "Merry Christmas" phone conversation put me right and made my night truly merry again. {{HUGS}}
