So far I have sneezed at least half a dozen times today, and now my throat is starting to get that scratchy kind of feeling the precedes sickness. Ack. Staying up until midnight last night might not have been the smartest move.
This, on the heels of finding out my new full-time position does not, in fact, get me paid sick leave or vacation. Those two weeks of time off I have to take each year, and the holidays no one is allowed to work? As a contractor, I'm not paid for any of that, and I don't have a choice about taking it. So, no going to work under any circumstances = less money on the paycheck. :( Woe is me.
Also, today is dragging by with all the speed of that January molasses run. It feels like I've been stuck here at work for 12 hours or more, but it's really only been 6.
What this means is, I need some serious cheering up. *refreshes f-list for the hundredth time in the last five minutes*
*sigh*
