Migraine today. Woke up at 3 in the morning, took my Imitrex and went back to bed, tossed and turned and tried not cry for an hour or so, fell asleep until the alarm went off of 6, hit the off button and went back to sleep. Crawled out of bed with a nausea inducing headache at 9:30, popped about four ibuprofen and came to work.
Which was a huge, huge mistake. Nothing like sitting at your desk, fighting nausea and hoping the coffee + ibuprofen you consumed will finally kick in. My criteria for coming to work at all today was a contemplative "Hmm, can I drive feeling like this?" The answer was yes, but with pain, so here I am. Maybe next time I need to widen my criteria a bit.
My hope was it would taper off by the time I got here. No such luck. My doctor warned me the pills i have to keep taking for another three days could cause migraines since I'm predisposed toward them. Damn it, why did she have to be right?
ETA: Finally. It finally broke, like the flick of a switch inside my head, the pain and pressure eased all at once about thrirty seconds ago, which immediately helped the nausea. Wow. Thank God.
