Wordcount today: 2,200

Not too bad.  I should be able to finish the next chapter tomorrow and break that 90K barrier.  But I also need to outline these last few chapters, and make sure I've got it all planned correctly to finish smoothly.  But I'm hoping to do that tonight, if I can carve out the time between the eye doctor, the gorcery store, cooking dinner, and the friends we have showing up at 8:00 for a quick shot roleplay session.  *fingers crossed*

For a time there, I was doing 3-5000 words per day. Nothing like finishing half the book in two weeks. But then things slowed down for whatever reason, and I haven't had a 4500 word day since, unfortunately.

Hi, btw. I found you via...blackaire's journal, I think. Some writing inclined person's journal, anyway. :)

LOL...you write like I do. Every rough draft I've done was finished in a month.

Course then I have to edit ALOT!

It's my curse:-)

I think that's the only way I can finish. Losing momentum is a death knell. I made the mistake of taking two months off from this one, and it took too much time for me to get back into the natural flow of things when I came back.

But I'm on the home stretch, now, and I've learned an important lesson - no breaks! Before, editing in the middle of writing was my problem. I don't let myself do that anymore. As you do, editing after the novel is complete is a much better plan, even if there is a lot to do. :)
