NaNo Day One

All right, first day of NaNo down, and I'm ahead on the word count, at least a little.

As last year, I'll be posting chapters as a complete them under f-lock on the NaNo journal, charityz. If you want to read, friend it and I'll friend you back. I'll also occasionally post snippets here.

I may work a little more tonight, but more than likely I'll relax and watch some Ugly Betty. To complete my goal, I have to do approximately 2800 words/day for every "writing day" (doesn't include weekends, holidays, or the trip to Disneyland) between now and January 13th. At the moment, I'm happy being about 1400 words ahead of the game for tomorrow.

I did 1,773 words between midnight and 2:00 AM, and I plan to crank out quite a few more once I complete my proofreading (paid work, not NaNo) page quota for the day. I have to send back the proofs on Monday, so I'll really be able to shift into high gear then.
