And if you need me to identify that second "F", well, let's just say it's not a happy Friday today.
I sincerely hope my characters will spend a little more time cooperating today. Perhaps allowing them out to play yesterday for 2000 words I can't even use in either book, will appease the pirates enough to settle them back down until I can finish McClairen...though I kind of doubt it. Stubborn, those pirates. Good thing werewolves can be just as stubborn.
On the new LJ filtering/labeling of mature contentoption policy, I have this to say:
If you don't want your journal browser to filter some things for you, make sure you go to 'account' then 'view options' and change the default setting to 'do not filter' instead of the automatic 'moderate filter' LJ defaults to.
It doesn't bother me that journal/community owners can now choose to label their content mature if they wish. But that little flag at the top of every journal, allowing any randomtroll person you've pissed off lately to flag your journal? Has me seriously considering going friends only and/or moving more permanently to GJ or IJ. I post to all three, but only edit/etc the posts on LJ at the moment.
I have a permanent account here. I can't tell you how much that pisses me off.

The idea that other people can flag your journal is irritating, but only if it flags your journal to other people. Does anyone actually know how it works? Does anyone know how to unflag?
Blind and blurry in the FF "morning".....

Date: 2007-11-30 05:53 pm (UTC)While in theory there's nothing wrong with journals/comms self-labeling, in practice I'd be very wary of doing so, because I don't believe LJ can be trusted not to use that as a handy way to ban the advertiser-scaring pervs next time some group of self-righteous crusading censors gets its knickers in a twist.
