First of all, it seems two of my writer friends completed novels over the weekend! Whoo-hoo!

Congratulations [livejournal.com profile] quiet_rebel and [livejournal.com profile] dthon! I know y'all have editing and stuff to do, but actually typing THE END is such a satisfying, accomplished feeling. :) Words are not enough for that sort of victory. :D

I had so much fun with [livejournal.com profile] kistha this weekend. Well, actually she pretty much single handedly saved my weekend, because she is just awesome like that. (I had better get her another chapter of space pirates today, or I shall feel more guilty than usual.) She also made me the best sort of present - jewelry I would never have made for myself, because stringing+me do not get along. Yes, I do wire sculpture, chainmaille, and I'm learning soldering, but stringing beads baffles me. Actually, it's getting the crimps or knots at both ends tight and nice looking that escapes me most. But she made me the prettiest pearl necklace, and I LOVE pearls. They are actually what originally got me into beading, believe it or not. Someday I will have enough money to afford a strand of Tahitian pearls, and then I'll have to figure out this whole stringing and knotting business. I know, the reason I got into beading = the kind of beading I don't even do. The irony is pretty sharp.

I am pretty tired this morning, but that might have something to do with staying up until 2:30am on Saturday night, after an all day/evening gaming session that was, to understate things, draining. (Okay, I did have fun, mostly because my character's personal storyline progressed in a couple of major ways, but the rest of it? Draining.) And then on Sunday, I played in an entirely different RPG, one that is draining in an entirely different way, because I'm playing two characters who are as opposite from one another as night and day. By last night, I was so brain tired, even watching my Tivo'ed episode of America's Next Top Model was almost too much.

Hope everyone else had a fabulous weekend. I am off to work on the WIP.
