All weekend on my MacBook, I could see no LJ icons, period. The little 'page loading' circle kept spinning, like it was trying to load them, and all other graphics displayed just fine, but not LJ icons. I tried clearing my cache, to no effect. Up until then, I'd only had this problem occur - much more sporadically - on my work PC. I'd sort of half been wondering if our work firewalls were somehow blocking all the little LJ icons for some reason.

Turns out, that's not the case. I can only imagine this must be some problem specific to LJ, somehow, and now, this morning at work, I am viewing icons just damn fine. I wish I could check my laptop and find out if it's now allowing view of them as well. It's really distracting and all kinds of annoying when I see a bunch of blank squares on my f-list, I've discovered. Userpics/icons are one of the chief things I love about LJ, so this has been annoying, to say the least. I did turn in a question about it to LJ support yesterday, so maybe this morning's reappearance means the icons are back for good, I don't know. *hopes*

I saw new Avatar over the weekend. DUDE!

~ Zuko/Sokka male bonding time for the win!! (And no, not in a slashy way. People who know me should already know that, but I still wanted to clarify. I just love the way they're shaping up as friends.) First, we had the awkward small talk - LMAO. Then the whole girlfriend thing was made of AWESOME. "My first girlfriend turned into the moon." "That's rough, buddy." There must be MORE Zuko/Sokka!

~ Which of course brings me to Zuko/Mai. I knew they would have to be addressing them soon, but I had no idea Zuko and Mai would actually come face to face already! When Zuko was all lamenting having left Mai behind to Sokka, I was pleased. And then when the prison warden turned out to be her Uncle - who KNEW about how Zuko had "broken his niece's heart"(!!!), I was pleased and squeeing inside. And THEN, when Mai herself showed up and was all "YOU JERK!! HOW COULD YOU LEAVE ME LIKE THAT! WTF, ZUKO, A NOTE??! YOU COULD HAVE AT LEAST LOOKED ME IN THE EYE WHEN YOU RIPPED OUT MY HEART!" And Zuko "I never meant to hurt you!" "WELL YOU DID, ASSHAT!" With the anger and angst and pleading/longing looks. *sigh* The long, telling look between them when Zuko escapes, leaving Mai behind again. And then, of course Mai turns traitor to help him escape, giving up her own freedom, possibly even her LIFE because she STILL LOVES HIM!! And Zuko knows it. He knows what Azula's reaction to betrayal will be. I cannot wait for them to meet up again. Because really, what prison is seriously going to hold Mai and Ty Lee?? (And Azula is truly alone, now. Even Ty Lee betrayed her for Mai.)

~ Also, it was pretty cool that Sokka got to rescue Suki and his father - Sokka doesn't get to be the hero often enough. :-)

But really, this episode was all about Zuko and Mai for me, obviously. Though Suki is awesome and it was great that we got to see her, and Sokka got his girlfriend back.

I did some jewelry stuff over the weekend, but nothing I'm ready to post about yet. And some writing, which is what I need to get cracking at now.

ETA: W.T.F. livejournal?? Now my icons have all disappeared again. *hates*
