Writing update

Why yes, that is exactly 81,500 - how often does that happen?
My weekend writing consisted of approximately 3K words, which is better than nothing, but not as good as I had hoped. The husband being home, both of us sick, and other sundry events interfered with writing plans. And the fun continues, because even as I'm sitting at my desk right now, my throat hurts, I am tired and my stomach is "blah". Whatever this stupid bug is, I hate it. It makes you feel tired, drained, and miserable without actually making you sick enough to stay home, curled up in bed. Blaaaaah.
Some goodness in my inbox this morning to make me feel better:
Though we all know what family says should be taken with a grain of salt (clearly, the people who say that have never met mypainfully brutally extremely honest family), my sister read Nemesis up to about 60,000 words this weekend, and then e-mailed me to demand more and tell me it is, among many other things, "fabulous". Awwww. <3 I shall have to check, but I'm fairly certain that while she liked DV, it didn't engender the same exuberant response as this. And I know for a fact she is not normally an SF reader. Fantasy, yes, SF, not so much. Which means, yay, Nemesis is accessible to those who don't normally read the genre. *is pleased*
