Nothing like getting lost in exposition. *sigh* I just deleted almost a thousand words that, while interesting, readers don't need to really know until the next book. However, I also saved them in a miscellaneous file, because they may prove useful when the time comes. :) All that research into cloning will come back around. (I hope.)

In other news, my throat is still sore. Worse, now, actually. Stupid cold. And there's nothing interesting on TV tonight, as everything is done and over with. However, LKH's Blood Noir came out today, and a popcorn book sounds pretty good. If I have the energy after the grocery store, I may swing by Walden's and pick it up.

I have finally bit the bullet and bought two "bento boxes" to pack myself and Mark lunch everyday. I've been considering it for awhile, but [livejournal.com profile] madlori's post about hers today finally convinced me to give them a shot. I got the laptop lunchboxes, and now I'm wishing I'd ordered the extra inner containers (to have so one set that can be in the dishwasher while the other is in use, and also because then I'd have two larger containers with lids for each box, instead of only one.) I guess this way, we'll see how they work out before spending more. In packing Mark's lunch every day, I already do things like cut up his apples, or peel his oranges. His fellow teachers often express envy at the lunches his wife packs for him, so I wonder if the bento lunchbox will increase this response. :)

In reading reviews on them, I see a lot of people saying things like "Wish these came with a drink container", or "wish these were bigger". Um, if they'd ordered the set with the carrying case, it comes with a drink container. And bigger sort of defeats the purpose of portion control, you know? *shakes head* I also stumbled across a flickr pool just for laptop lunches, which gives me a nice idea for what and how much I can pack in them. I'm excited to give this a try, and lamenting the fact that they probably won't arrive until the end of the week.

ETA: Oh, dear. Just realized my eyes have that burning sensation usually accompanying fever. Bed may be the only thing in my future post-work and grocery shopping.
