I made jewelry last night, and it was good. I can only go so long without breaking out the pliers and the silver wire, and the pretty stones. I've had a fascination with kyanite for some time - but you know that already, right? My endless pictures of "Oh, look, more kyanite!" probably gave that away.

So, I've been wondering what I'd do with this spectacularly lovely round, teal kyanite for some time. I am mostly hoarding it for my own, as-yet-undecided purposes, but I played with it some last night, and found it went really, really well with some gorgeously crackled fire agate (dragonscale carnelian, as coined by [livejournal.com profile] elisem):

I've provided the dime for a sense of size. I can say "16mm, huge rounds!" till the cows come home, and people still won't know how big that is.

More pics and info at my Etsy store.

Thank you!

It's a little more big and bold than my usual style. :)

I don't think I've seen any of your other work, but I like this one. It's very pretty. I like pretty stones. :)

I like pretty stones.

Me too - it's a terrible weakness. I need an icon of Jeremy the crow from The Secret of Nimh, saying "Sparklies!"

And welcome! I tend to post frequent GJP's (gratuitous jewelry posts). They've just been a bit slim lately because I've been sick, and busy writing.

LOL! I don't know that movie. It sounds familiar, though. Thanks! Being sick is no fun but writing is very important! Can't wait to see and hear more!

Too chunky for me, but very, very pretty!

I am terrible about that - I have no idea what size anything is in mm. I need "shown actual size" on all my catalog orders!

And, the bracelet is very, very pretty!
