It's Friday! A writing Update!
Jun. 13th, 2008 04:01 pmWell. I've broken 90,000 words.

And as predicted, the book is not done. It's close. I think that 100K estimate is pretty accurate.
Anyway, to celebrate, a snippet. I am actually writing a scene from Reaper's POV. I consider this both necessary, and a sort of reward to people who've wondered what goes through his mind. LOL.
Here's a snippet to celebrate:
Reaper cut himself off from Mercy right after he told Ava to fire up the shuttle and get back to the Nemesis. He knew exactly what his Consort’s response would be. He even understood it, to a point. But now was not the time to indulge in temper.
“She’s gonna be pissed,” muttered Demon beside him. Reaper gave him a look, thinking, no shit, and, so what? And, just possibly, what business is that of yours?
Demon, he thought, still had unresolved issues about Mercy. He seemed to feel some sense of responsibility regarding her, which was fine when it didn’t involve Reaper.
Demon interpreted his look correctly, and subsided into doing his damn job and dropping the subject.
Which was smart. Reaper didn’t need to replace another dog. Losing Leech and Wolf was problematic enough. Now he was down two men when he could least afford it.
