Good grief.

Someone is trying to publish fanfic again. Russet Noon - an "unauthorized tribute" novel that continues the Twilight series.

Seriously?? Way to give fanfic a bad name, not to mention, as jimhines said - this is the really wrong way to try and break into publishing.

It's a wonder Meyer's lawyers haven't already gotten involved. I'm sure it'll happen any moment, though.

Yep. Trying to pretend otherwise, but her "publisher" website is registered to her psuedonym, Lady Sybilla (snorts). So yeah, self published for profit (preorders have already sold via ebay), with a vague and incorrect quote about copyright law to try and justify the action.
