*waves to fandom*

Time to list my Fall 2010 TV watching schedule.  New shows I'm checking out be marked with **.

Sunday

Um...nothing, once Leverage and True Blood wrap in a week or so.  If something new and awesome is coming to Sunday nights, and I don't know about it, feel free to leave me a rec in comments!

Monday

Chuck - 8:00pm, NBC

Nothing else as yet, although I'm toying with the idea of checking out both Lone Star and The Chase.  Any thoughts, fandom?

Tuesday

NCIS - 8:00pm, CBS
Glee - 8:00pm, FOX

Wednesday

Lie to Me
- 8:00pm, FOX (Totally became addicted on Netflix instant watch.  Love. It.)
Undercovers** - 8:00pm, NBC  (JJ Abrams, spies, I'll check it out for the first ep, at least.)
Criminal Minds - 9:00pm, CBS (although, I'm still pissed at them cutting JJ.  We'll see how it goes.)

Thursday

Vampire Diaries - 8:00pm, CW (This is probably my favorite returning show.  No, seriously.  It's a lot better than you probably think it is.)
Bones - 8:00pm, FOX
Nikita**- 9:00pm, CW (I have read the pilot script, and as a HUGE fan of USA's show LFN, I have some cautious hope that this show will meet or even exceed my expectations for it.  I'm excited to see what they do with it.  But again, they had me at Nikita, and, you know, spies.)
CSI - 9:00pm, CBS (This has been "meh" for Tivo recording for a couple of seasons, now, but I still find myself catching up on on demand.)
Fringe - 9:00pm, FOX (another "maybe".  Typically, I catch up with this show on DVD.  If I catch up w/S2 soon enough, I might start watching in real time.  But it's doubtful.)

Friday

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - 9:00pm, Cartoon Network (Okay, I take it back.  THIS is the show I'm most excited for, and is likely the best show you're probably not watching.  It's everything the movies should have been, but weren't, and I can't tell you how AMAZINGLY FREAKING AWESOME S3 looks.)
Supernatural - 9:00pm, CW  (Not a good vote of confidence, moving the show to Friday nights, now, is it?  I'm pretty sure Fridays at 9:00 is known as the "death time slot" for network TV.  Honestly, I was pretty "meh" about last season.  The husband hasn't even finished watching it, yet.  I just don't see giving up the boys completely, though, unless S6 REALLY takes a nosedive.)

Also on the docket are Covert Affairs, Burn Notice, and White Collar, whenever USA airs them with their odd scheduling.

I know Lone Star got a very good reception from the Critics Association, so that's probably enough to get me to check out the first ep at least.

SPIES. :) All spies, all the time because then there can be massive crossover fics oh, and vampires. Vampire Spies! That's what tv needs! (it's probably already in development....)

The move for SPN isn't so bad -- Smallville held its numbers when it moved to Friday, so they probably figure it won't matter much. Tho obv the move is to launch Nikita with Vampire Diaries' popularity, not waste it on an old show.

I'd tell you to watch The Gates on Sundays but it's probably on its way to being cancelled. The marketing sucked and was totally ill-suited. It is not at all "Desperate Housewives meets vampires". Ugh. I hate that comparison. The first episodes were not particularly impressive but were decent enough to keep me interested. I kept watching and I'm so glad I did. The last few episodes have kicked some serious ass. (Nine of the thirteen episodes have aired so far.) It's become quite dark and sinister and is pretty fresh for yet another show featuring vampires. And it's not just vampires--there are witches, werewolves, and succubi to contend with, too.

But, yeah, probably definitely cancelled so I don't know if you want to bother. I'd recommend it 100% otherwise. It's too bad it wasn't a CW show airing right after The Vampire Diaries. They would be a perfect pairing and Thursday nights would totally rock.

I can't remember if I told you, but what you said about Covert Affairs a few entries ago got me all curious so I checked it out. Needless to say, I LOVE IT. I just wanted to thank you for talking about it, otherwise I may have never heard of it.

I have been mainlining Fringe to get caught up for S3...when the DVDs come out next week I intend to sit in a dark room for a weekend, just watching.

I am an obsessive little dork... :)
