I knew they were making a sequel to The Mask of Zorro, but I had no idea it was done! The trailer is up at yahoo movies. Looks good.

Also, some clcking around on links got me to this, and the fact that they are making a Tristan and Isolde movie! I am so excited! I love Arthurian tales if they're done right -- (which they unfortunately usually aren't) -- and this one stars James Franco as Tristan (Harry from the Spider-Man movies). I think he's a charismatic enough actor to pull off the role, so long as the story and directing are good. Given the history of Arthurian movies, I can only pray it will be as good as I hope. Or even half as good. Because I'll have to see it.

It's kind of like vampire movies -- Hollywood can't make a good one to save it's life, but I keep going and watching, hoping that this one will break the curse. Since they're making a sequel to Underworld, last I heard, my hopes are dashed, as usual.

ETA: The movie page says 2004, but apparently this was filmed at the same time as King Arthur, which may explain why it isn't being released until 2006.

Have you seen James Franco in Freaks & Geeks? I think he's a good actor, and I like Arthurian movies, so thanks for giving me a heads up about it.

And on vampire movies: are you kidding? What about Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Kristen Swanson. That was class. ;)
