Live cockroach jewelry
I cannot even believe someone thought of this. Ok, I don't like cockroaches anymore than the next person, but come on, this goes over the top of roach rights, making a pet of one as a...a pin to wear on your clothing? Complete with Swarovski crystals and a leash? Not only is that a disgusting idea, but absolutely ludicrous. It's like the shock value kind of thing some kids do - like when the drama club in my high school started wearing kitchen utensils as jewelry to get a rise out of the popular kids.
And the ad says it's a hissing cockroach...does that mean it hisses at people as well as crawling all over your favorite shirt? (And doing God knows what else on your favorite shirt - yuck!) I also find it interesting that they specfically mention the use of sterile male cockroaches...was this like a trial and error thing, where they once used female cockroaches only to have them lay roach eggs all over someone's clothing? *shudders*
Let's see if this one catches on in Hollywood.
