Do you have any idea how long it's been since I've been sick? Really sick? Not just a headache?

All week, I'm just fine, and then last night, the night before we're leaving for Writer's Weekend, I develop a sudden sore throat. So I dose myself with every home remedy I know, some vitamins and Nyquil, and go to bed hoping for the best.

No, it's so much worse this morning. I'm so frakked. Sick. On the road. At a workshop I not only paid money for and really, really want to attend, but where I'd like to have the brain capacity to pay attention.

Well, straight to bed (or the couch) - lots of drinking (tea),lots of vitamins, maybe some meds against the sore throat or stuff that will help your immune system....maybe sleep or just relaxation.

Dude! Me too. You have my deepest sympathy and empathy. Being sick in the summer sucks!
