Migraine woke me up at approximately 2am this morning, bad enough that I thought for awhile I was actually going to throw up, something I've never done with my migraines before, but my Dad used to every time he got one. Please, don't let them have progressed to the point of vomiting - I can't imagine it would make my head feel any better.

I used a heating pad and advil migraine for the first hour. Nothing, not even a dent in the pain. I lay in bed trying not to throw up until about 4am, at which point the heating pad finally helped me fall asleep again, sort of. I tossed and turned for another hour before giving up and getting up. Strangely, sometimes laying down hurts worse than sitting up. Fixed myself some coffee, and now at 9am, the pain is finally receding.

I have my annual doctor's appointment in less than two hours, and I think I'm going to talk to my doctor about these stupid migraines. I used to only get them once or twice a year. This past year, I've had at least four, maybe five. And now that we have insurance, there's no reason not to seek something more helpful than over-the-counter remedies.

I called in sick to work today. I figure after the doctor, I'm going to come home and actually sleep. I didn't get much last night.

They have some extremely effective rx migraine stuff now. My Mom's had them all her life...it's only in the last ten years or so that anything has existed that gets rid of them for her. She currently uses Zomig, and I think they'll let you just get a rx for few at a time.

*huggles*
*sends tea and soothing blankets*

I hope your doctor can remedy things!
