Christmas Cheer in the Office

We're having a big potluck for the entire Center on Friday, but our "section", OSO, is going out to lunch today. I wasn't going to go, because technically the hour is off the clock, I don't normally take a lunch, and I'd have to buy it myself even though apparently normally the OSO manager has bought for everyone in years past.

My boss (not the OSO manager, but the ES&H officer) just stopped by my desk and said "Why don't you come to lunch with us today? I'll buy your lunch and we'll make the hour billable time."

:) Sometimes I really like where I work.
