Have not seen Alias yet, due to the fact that last night we had Mark's parents over for dinner, and getting them over to our house for dinner is nothing short of miraculous. Mark has told his mother that he finds it rather funny that she's eaten more meals at Michael's house (Mark's brother, who lives in Texas), than at our house (we live ten minutes away.)

In any case, we spent the entire weekend weeding our front slope, and then bark dusting it. My arms are currently very sore, and I now have the first layer of my summer tan. Mark -- because he's egg shell white and didn't bother to put on the SPF 40 lotion I got for him -- has his first summer burn. *shakes head*

So last night the in-laws (we don't really believe in in-laws in our family, actually. So it's more like "Mom and Dad") came over for BBQ steak, baked potatoe, and the best salad ever. Mark has a dressing he makes with basalmic vinegar that I swear he could market and sell, and make us millionaires with. It's pretty much his only culinary accomplishment. Although, he's also pretty good at running the grill, but isn't that the husband's job, anyway?

Anyway, dinner was good, and afterwards we sat outside and enjoyed our trees while Mark and Dad smoked their pipes, despite the lack of both a lawn and a deck. Although, it seems that Mark and Dad managed to complete the plan for our deck while puffing on their pipes. (This would be the same way our house got planned. I told Mark before bed that he and his Dad are always encouraged to smoke together, because I seem to reap the benefit, somehow.)

So that was the only relaxing moment I had this weekend. I recorded Alias, and plan to watch it today. I'm avoiding most of my f-list so I won't end up spoiled. :)

I didn't get to see Alias last night, either...and I had to deal with some of the girls down the hall ambushing and squeeing--nothing terribly spoilery, but still. And LOL at the egg-shell white...that sounds like a perfect description of my dad and I. I don't tan--I burn, which then turns into a peely-tan. Sigh.
