Portuguese speaking f-list members?
Sep. 21st, 2006 09:39 amSo, say one was writing smut fic based in Brazil, and needed a couple of phrases in spanish for the purpose of setting the, well setting? My Spanish class was fifteen years ago, and the only thing I can remember is Hola and el bano. Well, I can remember a little more, but not much.
Help me out, what's the right way to say "Are you all right?" I'm pretty sure the correct answer ("Yes, fine") to the phrase is "Si, bien." Am I wrong?
Oh, wait. The language in Brazil is Portuguese, right? Crap, anyone know that? It's not a big deal, really. I can change the scene so no actual dialogue takes place.
randomeliza, I know you spent some time in Brazil, so if you happen to see this while I'm still working on the drabble (I use that term very loosely), maybe you could give me some highlights for sights, smells, sounds...if not, well, it's not too important. *tells self, remember Rhien, this is only a drabble for smut, not a full on fic that needs complete fleshing out* Right, but it's always so much better if I have the little bits of extra stuff in there, too.
