How is it possible that I didn't know about the new Robin Hood series on the BBC (thanks to [personal profile] ysrith for the link).  Huh???

I am a Robin Hood fangirl!  I have been since I can remember.  I own every written adaptation I can get my hands on.  I have seen every movie multiple times (including the deplorable turn by Kevin Costner in the role).  I used to obsess over that series with Michael Praed, what was it...Robin of Sherwood

Damn you work computer for refusing to play the BBC's featurette on this new incarnation!  *contents self with looking at the pretty pictures instead*

ETA: Do you see Guy of Gisbourne?  OMG, they got a good looking, charismatic actor to play the bad guy!  It is entirely possible I will like him better than Robin, though I wouldn't say that for sure without seeing the show.

Glad to share the joy. I am a huge Robin Hood fan as well. Even have the Robert LLwewllyn Greene books and the Patrick Bergin Robin Hood

So I have been anxiously watching the BBC for more trailers on this.

And Guy of Gisbourne = Richard Armitage, who does dark and broody brilliantly so I know who I am going to fall for.

Robin unforunately seems a bit wussy in the trailers.

I had problems with the trailer on the webiste, but the BBC just showed it on TV. Try later.

Guy of Gisborne is Richard Armitage, whom I LOVED in "North & South" (NOT the Patrick Swayze version) and he is extremely good (as [livejournal.com profile] ysrith says) at being dark, broody, and very charismatic.

Oooh, I didn't even recognize Richard Armitage. He's very good at dark and broody, so I might just have to gie dl'ing this a go.
