The mask, unmasked!
Oct. 12th, 2006 05:50 pmYes, well. My picture taking skills are not up to the task of doing this mask justice. You'll just have to trust me when I say, it sparkles so much more than this. And I'm still have lighting issues, but at least these have a faint gray cast instead of fairly intense "parchment" look.
L's dress is pink and silver, and she's dressing as a Fairy Queen, thus the color scheme here. I'm not going to make these smaller, so you'll be able to see the detail (as much as I could capture, anyway). I even talked L into modeling it for one pic, even though she really didn't want to, after a long work day, etc. I'll take better pics when she's all dressed up wearing it. :) (Hopefully.)

A couple of close-up pics:

And L, wearing the mask because she's nice:

Seriously, you guys have no idea how bummed I am that I can't take better pics of this. The grand total of Swarovksi crystals was somewhere over 150. I stopped counting mid-hundred.
I think I'm going to shape my next one a little differently, but all in all, not bad for a prototype. :)
