Fannish stuff

Except, I've also beeing thinking a bit on Heroes, and how this show is shaping up.
~ Claire ~
So, like Wolverine, she can come back from the dead. Her regenrative powers appear to have no limits as of yet. There's a quote Wolvie once said in the comics, I'm trying to remember...."Been tryin' to find a limit to my healing factor for years. Maybe this time, I finally found it." Only in that same issue, I think, he was filled with like a million bullets, and came right back from it to rip the bad guys to shreds. Yeah, Claire needs some bad ass adamantium claws, and then she'd be perfect! Kidding. Mostly. Wolverine had always been my favorite X-man, ok?
Anyway, it was nice to see her actually break down after the almost-rape-actual-murder-wake-up-on-an-autopsy-table experience. Cause who wouldn't be freaked by that? And to date, Claire has displayed a kind of alarming detachment from everything happening to her.
Does anyone else think that Claire and what's-er-name, the other girl the QB raped, look enough alike to be sisters? And we all know Claire was adopted...just saying it's a possibility. What if the other girl has a power, too?
~ Peter and Nathan ~
So, if Claire's Wolverine, then Peter's a little like Rogue, able to copy other people's powers. Interesting...verrrrry interesting. I'm eager to see how this develops. I find it highly ironic that here Suresh has spent all this time 'following' his father's research, and the first time someone shows up with the claim "Hey, I have special powers", he is nothing but skeptical and disbelieving...?? I don't get that, really. Though it certainly would have helped Peter's cause to have been able to demonstrate something when asked.
And Nathan, obviously trying to deny who he is, but ultimately can't, as his words to Niki about flying would indicate. He dreams about flying, loves flying like he loves nothing else, but is willing to box it up and pretend he can't do it in order to have power and money in the 'real' world of politics. Dude, how did he and Peter spring from the same background?
(Speaking of which...if this kind of thing is genetically passed on (as two brothers with powers would indicate), does that mean Niki's son has/will have a power? Hmmm.)
Also? I kind of like Nathan, even though he's a selfish jerk. I mean, in a purely physical, "Damn, he's hot standing there with his suit jacket off and his shirt unbuttoned" kind of way. Bad!Niki totally knew what she was doing when she came back to that hotel room.
~ Niki ~
"If you ever threaten our son again, I will put my heel through your skull." Heh. I really like her. And I don't think the only reason Bad!Niki went back to Nathan's room was because that's what the mafia wanted her to do to clear her debt - I think she did it because Niki wanted to sleep with Nathan, but was being the "good girl", and not doing it. (Cause she'd just be using him, cause the mafia wanted her to, cause she didn't want to give the mob blackmail material on him...whatever, she has morals, and they kicked in when she realized she liked him, so she left even though she wanted to sleep with him.) Bad!Niki doesn't strike me as the sort to be bothered by any of that.
1. The mob wanted her to sleep with him for whatever nefarious reasons, thereby clearing her debt and keeping her son safe.
2. She was attracted to him, and would've had sex with him if they hadn't met because of the mob.
So where's the loss, according to Bad!Niki? She gets to keep the mob happy and have sex with him all at the same time. I'm sure in her book, it was a win/win scenario, regardless of the fallout later.
What's with the tattoo on her back? Does only Bad!Niki have that? Is it new? Is it growing, as in taking on more characteristics and shape each time Niki becomes Bad!Niki?
~ Hiro ~
I love Hiro. He's so...earnest about his powers, even though he briefly allowed Ando to corrupt him into using them for selfish purposes. I just want to hug him everytime he's on the screen. He's clearly the moral compass of the group, which they unequivocally need.
Also, the Hiro from the future? With the katana on his back? SO. AWESOME. He's all confident warrior and stuff. :)
How come his time stop thing didn't effect Peter? Cause he didn't want it to, or cause of Peter's copycat power?
~ Suresh ~
Ok, honey, you're hot, but start using that genius brain of yours. What's with creepy neighbor chick, who is perpetually perky in a "I'm really a bad guy" kind of way. So she and "Papa Suresh" were buds, huh? How come I don't believe that? I see her as working with glasses man, personally, and a man of Suresh's intellect ought to be just a little more suspicious of her. This show is like the X-files - "Trust no one".
Hmm, no one else really interests me a ton yet. They haven't done enough with Matt, I could take or leave Simone, and Isaac's only defining feature is his ability to paint the future while under the influence of heroin, which -why does he have to be high for his power to work? Maybe it's my instinctual distrust/dislike of addicts that has me 'meh' on Isaac.
