One of the actual perks for working for a government facility - my three day weekend just became a four day weekend. The President has written an executive order declaring Tuesday, January 2nd a national day of mourning for Gerald Ford, who, in case you've been in a holiday sugar induced coma for the past few days, passed away on Tuesday.
Yes, it is sad, but the man was 93. He'd earned his peace.
So, yeah. Government facilities closed = SD-6 closed = me get four day weekend! And I'm leaving early today. :D
Hmm, not much writing on the book this week. It's been kinda hard with the out of state family in town and leaving work early every day to do things with them. Plus, L has been teaching me how to use my awesome new sewing machine. (Which it turns out is a very nice machine. No wonder Mom decalred it a Christmas AND birthday gift.) Not to say that I haven't been working on it at all - I have. I just don't have anything ready to post yet. We'll see what I get done with my four day weekend. :)

I'll be happy to get back to the gypsies. :)
