Thanks to carmen_sandiego making a passing comment during a chat earlier today, I remembered to get my entries in to the Rings and Things design contest by the deadline tonight.  Thanks, babe! 

You're allowed up to three entries.  I sent in two.  First, the crown I've been working on, and finally fnished.  I designed it to be a show piece for local bridal shops, so the colors are fairly common bridal selections, crystal, white, and capri blue.  For the purposes of the contest, I titled it "Ice Fairy Crown", and entered it in the "glass (crystal)" category:

My second entry was one of the masks.  You've all already seen it before, but I did take new pics for the contest.  I titled it "Cinderella Mask" and entered it in the "mostly metal" category:

So, wish me luck!  The winners are supposed to be announced in April.

You're jewelry skills are way beyond mine, for sure. I was looking at maille the other day, but it's way too expensive for me to try right now. Maybe down the road :D

Oh, maille is so fun! You can get into it pretty cheap by practicing with some aluminum rings, which come in all kinds of pretty anodized colors. theringlord.com has a nice selection. There are plenty of tutorials online, too, so a "kit" to learn is unnecessary.
