So, I still get choked up and teary eyed when the Rohirrim charge the orcs at Pelennor. I'm sure it has something to do with the beautiful cinematography -- you know, the suns rays glowing off the Rohirrim armor and barding, the thousands upon thousands of cavalry charging down on the orcs, led by Theoden's white steed. And then there's Theoden's rousing speech. And Eowyn and Merry. "Whatever happens, Merry, stay with me. I'll take care of you."

::sniffle::

Ok, back to Pirate fic. I can do that. Switch from LOTR to Pirate mode. Sure. ;)

I have to agree -- that was an incredibly beautiful scene. In all...the trilogy's cinematography is fantastic :) What a beautiful story!
