Awww. I was complaining last night about how behind I am on NaNo (I know, I know - instead of complaining, I should have been writing!) And how now I'm going to have to use this 3 day weekend to catch up. But how I have house cleaning I absolutely have to do, as next week will be gone in a flash, and then we'll be gone in Disneyland, and there is nothing worse than coming back from vacation to a messy house. I need to mop my floors and clean my bathtubs, that kind of thing. sunday we've got a Thanksgiving thing to go to w/Mark's Aunt (she planned it because we're going to be gone over the actual holiday) so i have baking I have to do, too.

And now, I just got this amazing phone call in which I found out that my house is going to be cleaned for me! Like, I pick everything up tomorrow morning, and then I can shut myself in the office w/the computer and write while house elves are going to do the actual, you know, cleaning for me. (Mark will be gone at a martial arts seminar.)

This is the sort of thing that happens, I suppose, when you get people hooked on a story and/or characters and they're then willing to do anything to facilitate you writing more. :D

Either that, or I have spectacular friends. :D

ETA: I would be totally uncomfortable with this, if my house wasn't normally kept reasonably clean.  It's not like I'm embarrassed by it, thank God, it's just...the heavy stuff needs doing, and if I put if off until after Disneyland, I will come back and really not want to do it, you know?  Plus, I know the person/people in question very, very well and have cleaned their house for them more than once.  (A fact pointed out to me when I tried to argue.  I tried explaining that when I see a dirty dish my natural inclination is to put it in the dishwasher, but the argument got me nowhere.)

ETA2: I am not making up the facilitation of storytelling statement above.  This is actually the primary reason, I am told, behind this generous move.  The conversation began with "What do you mean there are no more chapters?!" and went from there.
