*Warning* Gratuitous SCC post ahead

Has everyone heard?  It's looking pretty good for a Season 2 of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles!  *dance of joy*

Also, if you're here and reading this by way of recent fic, or you just happened to stumble across this journal while also liking the show and also happen to ship Derek/Sarah, there are perhaps two communities you should know about: scc_dereksarah is all about Derek/Sarah, but so far I've noticed fic is (occasionally) still showing up in the more general communities, but few things are being posted here yet.  Come!  Join!  Play!  Please.  We so need more fic and things for this pairing.  Also the_other_reese is all about Derek, and also a newer community that could use people posting and playing.

*sigh* 

This is like back in the days of yore, when I discovered Sarkney and there was literally no fic for the pairing yet.  Sure, by mid-season 2 fandom had developed quite a little sub-following of Sark and Sarkney fans, and fic started popping up everywhere.  But when I was first really really into the fandom and the pairing, there was, uh, Rach's Technicolor Splendor, 14 Days and my Illusions.  That was it, except for some really terrible rape fic on the Pit of- FF.net.  A few more lovely people wrote soon some good stuff, which brought the grand total to like five or six fic.  (No, really!  This is totally not an exaggeraion!)  And it really sucked having nothing new to read!  You ended up either re-reading things a billion times, or reading the most horrible thing imaginable in the HOPE it might have some glimmer of characterization.  

Anyway, this reminds me of that!  Fandom in its wee baby beginning stages!  I want to just skip past all that, find all the people who are going to fall in love with this pairing, and get them to write stuff now!  Maybe there is more stuff out there than I'm currently aware of?  I don't think so, though, because I've been pretty obsessive thorough in my search.  Who knows when we'll get new episodes, and fic is an excellent way to pass the time until then!  I mean, here I am on a Saturday night, the husband is busy with his Xbox, and I could be reading fic.  Instead I am writing this post and sipping a vodka collins and wondering in a sort of depressed way what I should do with myself this evening that counts as 'down time' - meaning no writing, jewelry making, or other things that qualify in any sense as 'work'. 

I suppose I shall have to curl up with a book, which isn't all bad, though nothing in my current "to read" pile is is really a siren call at the moment.

I missed this series when it aired but wanted to watch it. I am going to definitley catch up on it. Besides - I love your Sarkney- so I know I have great fic to look forward to from you!!!
