Lunch

Day two of the laptop lunch:



Very similar to Friday's - more of that beef stew, my breakfast of yogurt, granola and fruit, carrots and ranch, and then crackers and a little mini wheel of Laughing Cow Light cheese.

So far, financially speaking, I have saved about $12 on lunches. Huh. Buying one's lunch really does add up.

I ordered one of these lunchboxes today. If I hadn't, I'm certain I would have after seeing this picture. Your meals look soooo yummy!

I really love ours. The portions seem a little small at first, but there is plenty of food there - I definitely do not go hungry, and I think it's great for portion control.

Interestingly, I got the lunchboxes because madlori posted about them, and she got hers because pegkerr posts about them quite a bit. It will be interesting to see who is next. :D

i would love to put stews and noodles and stuff in our lunches, but the winglets don't have access to a microwave and don't like cold pasta and the like. maybe during summer break i can experiment with reheatable foods in our lunches.

Oh, yeah. With kids, leftovers would definitely be harder. It's funny, laptop lunchboxes were originally designed to help Moms pack more interesting/better nutritional lunches for kids. A lot of people make their own "lunchables" with them, or say their kids eat more of their lunch with these, maybe because when they open it up, they can see all of their food, or maybe because the neat box makes lunch special, or a combination thereof. :)
