In the meantime, I have already begun my editing pass. I'm on Chapter six, currently, and have just discovered my first major discrepancy. In Ch. 6, Dahlia Stone is a Lt. Commander. In Chapter 29, she's a Captain. Yeah, sorry about that Dahlia.
But for the most part, I'm pretty pleased with this. I'm enjoying reading it, and so far it seems much cleaner than DV was at this same juncture.
Also, I think I need to add to my notes and timeline for this book, sort of start a series bible. I've already opened a file and started making notes for Book 2. I could write the first six chapters or so right now, and I know the basic story for the whole book. It is going to be more difficult to keep this one within 100,000 words.
