Happy Monday
Jun. 30th, 2008 10:27 amI had a great weekend. No, really. I got to spend time with friends I don't get to see often enough, chatting about everything from crepes, to movies, to writing. I apparently missed the worst of the weekend heat at home whilst this was taking place.
On the other hand, my train home, supposed to be a mere five hours, became seven and a half because something went wrong with a bridge and we had to wait for it to be fixed. For more than two hours. Ugh. I didn't get home until after one in the morning. I am not functioning all that well today, as a consequence. And worse, I had no internet access, and the Tony/Pepper fic I started Friday and intended to finish on the train apparently got saved to my work computer, not to my flash drive as I thought.
I consoled myself by watching several episodes of Doctor Who S3. I fell behind on DW some time back and have always meant to catch up. I've had all of S3 waiting to be watched on my laptop, and the seven hour train ride gave me the opportunity. So, tell me fandom, what did everyone think of Martha when she was first introduced? Rose is a tough act to follow, but I feel like they did a decent job.

Date: 2008-06-30 05:56 pm (UTC)And I have to say, it's odd how that works, the closer you live to someone the less it is you seem to see them. We have two sets of friends who love less than a mile from us. One we try to at least do a BBQ w/every summer, and the other....we've never even seen their house. *facepalm*
