I have personally loathed every movie you've done other than The Sixth Sense. But I was prepared, given your obvious and great love for Avatar in interviews, to have hope that you would do right by these movies.

JESSE F-ING MCCARTNEY AS ZUKO??! SERIOUSLY? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

ETA: Rhien needs chocolate badly. (I'm channeling Gauntlet right now. Because God, chocolate is the only thing that could possibly make my day any brighter right now.)

Yeah, I gotta say, taking a cast as deliberately multicultural and blended as Avatar, and casting it totally white-bread is... missing the point on an epic scale. I'm pretty disgusted.

Aang is, IMO, the only kid that could be cast as caucasian. *points to icon*

Everyone else, though. Katara and Zuko are pretty obviously of a different ethnic mix than Zuko, but none of them are "white".

Hmm. That is an excellent question! I don't know who my perfect cast would be. I would need to research that. Probably mostly "unknown" actors. CERTAINLY not an all-white cast.

And my feelings? DUMBFOUNDED! I expected M. Night to mess this up in other ways, not in his all-white casting choices.
