Say, hypothetically, you have a Macbook that is less than a year old. And say you have cats that like to get up on counters. And say one of these cats accidentally knocked over a glass full of water into your Macbook, frying it.
Apple will probably not fix it, am I right?

Date: 2009-01-12 06:17 pm (UTC)Apple may be able to fix it, but I don't think they'll do it for free. A quick scan didn't seem to imply they covered accidental damage, just premature hardware failure.

Date: 2009-01-13 01:47 am (UTC)BUT if she just turns it off, removes the battery, carefully wipes off any excess moisture she can, and then lets it dry for a day or two before turning it back on it might work again.
Which is also what I did with the Macbook I am typing to you from AT THIS VERY MOMENT.
